Refund policy
Every Neelmani blouse is made to order. We don't hold finished stock. Your blouse is cut and stitched specifically for you after you place your order. Because of this, our refund and cancellation policy is stricter than a typical retailer's, and we say so plainly before you pay.
Cancellations
You may cancel an order within 24 hours of placing it, provided production has not yet begun. To cancel, email hello@neelmani.com with your order number as soon as possible. Once your blouse enters production, the order cannot be cancelled or modified.
Returns and exchanges
All sales are final. Neelmani does not accept returns or exchanges, and does not issue refunds, except where required by law or in the limited case described below. This is for the following reasons.
- Hygiene policy: blouses are handmade to order and cannot be resold once they're made.
- Failed delivery or undelivered orders: if a shipment comes back to us because you weren't available, gave an incorrect address, refused delivery, or didn't collect it from the courier within their holding window, no refund will be issued. If you'd like it reshipped, reshipping charges apply.
- Returned to origin: orders sent back to origin for reasons on the customer's side, such as refusing the parcel, giving an incorrect address, or not being available, aren't eligible for a refund of the product price or original shipping charges.
- Neelmani isn't responsible for a failed delivery attempt, an incorrect address given at checkout, or a courier pickup that isn't collected in time.
Fit concerns
Every blouse ships with a 4 inch margin built in for local tailoring alterations. If the fit needs adjusting, any local tailor can take it in or let it out. This is the intended and stated resolution path for sizing issues, in place of returns.
Damaged or incorrect items
If your blouse arrives damaged in transit or isn't what you ordered, email hello@neelmani.com within 48 hours of delivery with photos of the item and packaging. We'll review each case individually and offer a repair, replacement, or refund at our discretion where we're at fault.
Payments and refund processing
Where a refund is due under this policy, it will be issued to your original payment method via Razorpay within 7 to 10 business days of approval.
